These terms cover Forkelo, the website at forkelo.com, made by Vorby Studios LLC. Using the site means agreeing to them.

What Forkelo is

Forkelo ranks dishes, not restaurants. You search for a food and Forkelo shows the best versions of it near you, each with a score built from evidence about that specific dish. That is the whole product.

It is free. There is no ordering, no payment, and no account needed to search.

Rankings are opinions

A Forkelo score is an editorial opinion assembled by software from menus, public reviews, community discussions and, in time, ratings from people who ate the dish. It is offered in good faith and it can be wrong. Specifically:

Prices, menu names, hours and whether a restaurant is even open come from the last time the menu was checked, and restaurants change without telling us. Confirm with the restaurant before crossing town.
A score says how good the evidence suggests a dish is, and the confidence label says how much evidence there is. A high score with limited data is exactly that.
Dietary labels such as vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free are taken from menus and are not a guarantee. If you have an allergy, ask the restaurant.

Organic rankings are never sold. No restaurant can pay for a higher score, and if a sponsored placement ever appears it will be clearly marked as sponsored and shown apart from the ranking.

Restaurants

Forkelo is not affiliated with the restaurants it lists and does not speak for them. Restaurant names, menu items and prices belong to the restaurants and appear here to describe them. If you run a restaurant on Forkelo, you can have factual details corrected by writing to support@vorby.com. You cannot have a ranking changed, because that would make the ranking worthless to everyone else.

Your account

You need to be 13 or older.
Sign-in is through Google only. One person, one account.
You are responsible for what happens under your account.

What you may not do

Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract the rankings, scores, or dish data, or use them to build a competing dataset. The public pages are for people; the bot that writes Forkelo's data is ours.
Probe, overload, or attempt to break the service, or use another account without permission.
Submit feedback, ratings or corrections that are false, defamatory, or intended to move a ranking rather than to describe a dish.
Harass, threaten or impersonate anyone through anything you submit.

Accounts that do these things can be suspended or removed, with notice where it is reasonable to give it and without where it is not.

What you send us

Feedback, corrections and ratings you submit are yours. You grant Vorby Studios the permission needed to use them to run and improve Forkelo, including folding them into scores and summaries, without attribution. Nothing you submit is sold or used to train any model.

Deleting your account

You can leave at any time. There is not yet a delete button, so until there is, email support@vorby.com from the address on the account and it will be deleted, along with its data. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what that removes.

The service is provided as it is

Forkelo is new, small, and run by a very small team. It is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It may be unavailable, lose data, rank something wrongly, or change without notice. Your meal is your decision: Vorby Studios is not responsible for a disappointing burrito, a closed restaurant, a wrong price, or an allergic reaction to a dish a menu described inaccurately.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Vorby Studios LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of Forkelo. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to the service and to these terms

Features will be added, changed and removed. If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and, where we have a way to reach you, we will say so. Continuing to use Forkelo after a change means accepting it.

Ending it

You can stop using Forkelo whenever you like. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if running the service stops being viable, in which case we will give as much notice as we can.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a clause is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Nothing here removes any right you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
